Why We Love Movies With Pirate Costumes

February 18, 2012 Comments Off

The Pirates of the Caribbean series continues on with the fourth instalment On Strangers Tides which has a different plot compared to the previous three movies, due to its change in Director. The movies were becoming monotonous and the change of director brought a pleasant change in the theme and direction of the movie which was appreciated by all the people who watched this last episode.

The story begins with Captain Jack Sparrow in search of the Fountain of Youth. Sparrow soon discovers that it is not just him but Angelica, teamed with Blackbeard who is also in search of the Fountain of Youth while Barbossa tracks down Blackbeard to avenge his amputated leg. Meanwhile, the Spanish are out to destroy the Fountain, so it was essential that they reach the Fountain before the Spanish finished the Fountain off for good.

Most of the cast are the same except for the addition of Penelope Cruz as Angelica and Ian McShane as Edward “Blackbeard” Teach and many others while there was an exclusion of characters as Elizabeth and Will Turner, of Davy Jones and many others, whose story ended with the third movie. Having new characters meant Penny Rose had to create new pirate costumes, and once again she was successful in giving wondrous results, giving each pirate costume its own unique look.

The movie was a big hit and it broke many box office records with its release and it is the 10th highest grossing film of all time worldwide! Although critical reports were given, many positive remarks were also made. This movie is honestly a must watch for everyone, big and small, what with the witty and hilarious Jack Sparrow as the main protagonist in the entire series of the thrilling Pirates of the Caribbean. Now it has been a long time after the release of the 4th part and we all are anxiously waiting for the 5th part to have some extra fun and enjoyment.
