xmarks the spot pirate party games

In my previous article I have talked about how to make the pirate game “X Marks The Spot” and today I shall be telling you about another exciting pirate game called “Buried Treasure”. This game is also very easy to prepare and can be easily prepared at home. So, again you can save money and involve more people in this pirate game by preparing more games in less money. Get hold of a small quantity of glass beads; roughly seven beads for each participant of the game (multiply seven with the number of participants and that’s the exact number of beads required for the game). You need some sand and arrange few buckets as well.

Prepare a sand pit and hide seven beads in each sand pit. Bury those at different places so that the participants do not find all the beads at one time instantaneously. Make few teams and each team should not be consisting of more than five playing participants. Now take the bucket and place it approximately fifteen feet from the sand pit. Do this exercise for all sand pits. The teams should stand behind each bucket and when the whistle is blown, one member from each team must pick up the bucket and run towards the sand pit. Remember, the member running must not take out more than one bead and after collecting that must run back and place the bucket at its original position.

After this the second participant / member of the team should pick up the basket, run to the sand pit and find the bead for himself. This exercise must continue till all the beads have been found by the team and the team collecting all their beads in minimum time shall be the champion. Reward the winning team with gifts or medals made and prepared in advance. If you have enough money, you can buy these gifts from your own pocket; otherwise, you can ask all the participants to pool in the money to get the gifts.
